The Electrolux Well Q7 Pet is a 2-in-1 cordless vacuum that features a self-standing design and a built-in handheld unit stored onboard the vacuum that can be popped out at any time.

This Electrolux vacuum offers a variety of cleaning tools, including a main brush head that contains a set of LED headlights, a Petpro+ tool that specializes in hair removal from upholstery, and the telescopic dusting wand that gives users up to three extra feet of reach for cleaning hard-to-reach areas.

The Electrolux Well Q7 also boasts a five-step filtration system. It starts with a cyclonic system that separates out dirt and debris and then the air is passed through a mesh filter, two foam filters, and finally a sealed E10 emission filter.

What we like

It offers you the ability to clean high and low as you go

The Well Q7 Pet comes with an extendable dusting wand.

When you combine all three of the vacuum’s premier features—its LED lights, its built-in handheld unit, and a telescopic dusting wand—you get a vacuum that can easily clean a number of surfaces at different heights.

For example, imagine hunting down dust bunnies under your couch with LED lights on the main brush head, popping out the handheld unit to get between the cushions, and finally attaching the telescopic wand to clean a vent overhead.

Now, many cordless vacuums can do this; however, few do it as seamlessly as the Well Q7 Pet. Much of that has to do with the fact the unit can stand up by itself. If you wanted to do the same thing with the latest Dyson vacuum the Gen5 Detect, you’d have to lay the wand on the floor and go find the combination dusting attachment.

It stores away easily

This Electrolux vacuum comes with an easy-to-assemble stand that you pop the unit into vertically.

A cordless vacuum that can stand up on its own may not sound all that exciting, but we found it a welcome design choice.

Many competitors require you to drill mounts into walls or have your vacuum lay on the floor in order to charge it up. However, this Electrolux vacuum comes with an easy-to-assemble stand that you pop the unit into vertically.

Even notable competitors that have vertical stands, like the LG Cordzero and Samsung Bespoke take up way more space. And even these fancier models can’t stand up on their own; if you need to step away from vacuuming for a moment then you have to lean the vacuum on something.

The Petpro+ attachment separates the Well Q7 Pet from the Well Q7 and the Well Q7 Hard Floor

As the name suggests, the Well Q7 Pet specializes in picking up pet hair thanks to its Petpro+ attachment.

We tested it out against tufts of Bernese Mountain dog hair, and it did well at cleaning the pet hair off of carpet and upholstery. We like the Petpro+’s articulation, making it easier on the wrists to clean couches and chairs.

What we don’t like

Unfortunately, it has relatively weak suction power

To test vacuums, we place a specialized dirt mixture on our testing carpet and measure how much a vacuum can pick up in a single pass.

The Electrolux Well Q7 Pet picks up an average of 26% of our testing dirt per pass. It’s not a terrible result—think about when you vacuum how many times you go over the same spot.

However, it’s a relatively weak performance compared to other vacuums in its price range—vacuums like the Tineco A10 Hero pick up around 46% of the testing dirt per pass.

There are issues with dust leakage

Dust leakage is a fairly common problem with vacuums that rely on a rubber or plastic flap to keep dust in the cup. But it becomes more of a problem when you consider that the Well Q7 costs more than $200.

When we switched to the handheld during testing, we noticed that dust sometimes leaked out of the unit. It's never a great sign when a vacuum creates a mess right after it cleans, but leakage is a common occurrence in handheld units relying on a plastic or rubber flap to keep the dirt in. What happens is that sudden movements cause the flap to pop open, but gravity causes it to close.

A vacuum shouldn’t make a mess—it’s meant to clean them up! However, this is a design limitation of almost every handheld vacuum.

Warranty

The Electrolux Well Q7 Pet is covered by a two-year limited warranty that covers any defect in workmanship. You can check on Electrolux’s website to see what terms and conditions apply.

What owners are saying

We tested the Electrolux Well Q7 pretty early in its lifecycle so there aren’t too many consumer reviewers to peruse. Amazon has the largest collection of reviews and on there, the Well Q7 Pet scores 4.3 stars out of 5.

Consumers often cite how much they like the long battery life and its lightness. They dislike the small dustbin.

We also noticed that the dustbin is small with a capacity of 0.3 liters. However, it’s a trade-off you have to make for the handheld unit to fit inside the overall frame.

Should you buy the Electrolux Well Q7 Pet?

Yes, as a supplementary floor cleaner

The Electrolux Well Q7 Pet is great as a supplementary floor care option. If your home has all hardwood floors, this is the vacuum you would use every day to keep crumbs at bay in between deep cleans with a mop. Or, this is the vacuum you keep in your in-law suite or she-shed.

Overall, we really like the fact that it can easily handle cleaning multiple elevations and its ability to handle pet hair. However, its pure suction power places it in the middle of the pack.

If you’re willing to deal with a more cumbersome experience for greater cleaning performance, we recommend the Tineco A10 Hero or upgrading to a Samsung Bespoke Jet AI.
