So, you have a big event coming up. A wedding, a funeral, an anniversary party or work event? Maybe a graduation or just a big date night. You want to wear a killer suit but don’t want to invest a grand in something you’ll only wear once, maybe twice, tops. Did you know you can actually rent a suit?

The Men’s Wearhouse offers suit rentals in various styles, sizes, and colors, from a casual suit for a business trip to a formal one for your old college buddy’s wedding. It’s easy to go through the Men’s Wearhouse suit rental process as well. Shop Men's Wearhouse

How to rent a suit at The Men's Wearhouse

The first thing to do when you want to explore Men’s Wearhouse suit rental is go to the Tux and Suit Rentals page on the website. From there, you can start building your perfect suit.

Tap Find a Style if you want to look at a pre-styled package (a great option for a “suit in a box” quick rental) where you can select accessories as well, right down to the shoes and socks. Or you can choose by look, like tuxedos, suits, or just a dinner jacket if you don’t need the full shebang. Browse New Arrivals if you want to latest and hottest in men’s fashion. There’s even a Trending option to select what most men are opting for these days, or you can gain inspiration based on a specific look, type of event, or what style you usually wear and feel most comfortable in, like Casual or Classic.

Choose by designer if you have a favorite that always makes you feel like James Bond, like Vera Wang, Calvin Klein, or Joseph Abboud. Additionally, a new Wedding Wingman feature lets you take a quiz to find the perfect look to match your wedding style.

After perusing the site, select Get Started to go to the main page with all the suit options and use the Filter button on the right to drill down to exactly what you want.

Once you choose a style, select Rent This Look from the right-side menu, or Customize if you want to change the color, style or quantity of any of the items in the package if it includes accessories, too. (In most cases, you can choose from either a 9-piece package or a 2-piece with just the jacket and pants). Maybe you want a navy blue dinner jacket instead of black to go with the black pants, or a black shirt versus crisp white. You can customize every aspect, right down to the pocket square and socks (if included). Even the two-piece sets that include just the coat and the pants can be customized, too.

Once you select the suit you want, you’ll need to Create Your Event to begin the rental process. You can select either Wedding or Other, or you can log in (if you have an account already) or look up an existing event if one has already been created. This is great if you’re renting for multiple people, like a group of guys for a bachelor party or a team at work for a big banquet dinner. If it’s just for you, select Wedding or Other, then Yes, Create a Group or No, Create a Single Rental. You’ll be asked to input the specific date of the event using a pop-up calendar. You will need to order at least two weeks in advance.

Select the date, enter your first and last name and e-mail address (phone number is optional) and select Next. (If you already have a The Men’s Wearhouse account, you can login using those existing credentials).

Then, you’ll need to visit a store or answer a few questions and a Fit Evaluator will measure you and make sure the suit is perfectly fitted to you.

Last, place the order. You will be able to pick up the suit at any of The Men’s Wearhouse’s 600+ stores across the U.S., or have it shipped to your home. Once done, return the suit to your nearest store or send it back in the mail after the event using the provided return slip.

Is The Men's Wearhouse expensive?

The Men’s Wearhouse offers affordable suit rentals that cost as little as $150 for a two-piece suit jacket and pants (plus a $12 damage and handling fee with most sets), and 9-piece packages with a matching vest, tie, shirt, shoes, socks, cufflinks, pocket square, and, in some cases, suspenders, all for just over $200 in some cases.

It’s a fraction of the price you’d pay for buying a suit outright, but you can still look your best. There are even options for boys that range from just $30 for the rental up to $80 for a full seven-piece yet.

Does The Men's Wearhouse tailor?

When you rent a suit from The Men’s Wearhouse, the Fit Evaluator gets the proper measurements either in person or online so the suit is perfectly tailored to you. The Online Fit Evaluator only takes a minute and uses an intelligent algorithm to calculate the numbers (you’ll need to take measurements at home) to create a beautifully fitted suit. If you’re concerned about fit, you can head to a store location and get measured from head to toe by a professional to ensure the rented suit will fit perfectly for the special day.

If you use the online Fit Evaluator, you’ll be asked to enter your age, height, weight, jean waist measurement (in inches), jean length measurement (in inches), jean fit, shoe size, and coat fit preference (classic/modern or slim). Drill down even deeper and enter optional measurements, including neck size (inches), shirt sleeve (in inches), and jacket size, with options like husky, slim fit, and portly with various numbered sizes. These measurements will be useful if you have longer than usual arms, for example, a thin or thick neck, or if you have a specific body type you want to be taken into consideration.
