Pawstruck review

Pawstruck is one of the most popular dog treat brands on Amazon—but is it any good?

A few weeks ago, my family adopted a new addition—a 2-year-old pit bull mix with the sweetest personality, who my son, not so fittingly, named Blaze. This pup was a genuine snuggler from the get-go, but when we heard her story, we knew we had to have her. Someone had tied Blaze up to a park bench and abandoned her. Luckily, she was found and brought to our local shelter.

Needless to say, after Blaze went from shelter dog to our dog, we wanted to give her the VIP treatment. It seemed like the perfect time to order some special dog treats and chews. I ventured over to Pawstruck—a dog treat brand with thousands of fans on Amazon and Chewy—and picked out a bunch of items I hoped would make her feel right at home.

What is Pawstruck?

Pawstruck has a number of value packs.

I've been a dog owner for almost a decade, but I only recently discovered Pawstruck. It's a business that sells a variety of dog treats, chews, as well as wellness and grooming products. They also have a few items for humans, too, like cute mugs and totes.

Pawstruck isn't a giant chain. It's a small business run by dog lovers, but they sell their products at major pet retailers, including Amazon (where filled dog bones and bully sticks are highest rated) and Chewy. Pawstruck also offers free shipping on orders over $49, and they have a number of value packs, so you can get more chews for your boo.

What kind of treats does Pawstruck sell?

This online store is unique because you aren't going to find every pet treat or chew on the market, like with some mega-stores. The gourmet chews and treats are advertised as being healthy, and the most delicious ones around. So, while there are fewer options, the quality is definitely worth wagging about.

Pawstruck only sells products made with natural ingredients. They have a variety of chews like bully sticks and collagen chews. The treats are made with all-natural chicken, beef, or fish, and there are vegetarian options, too. So, even if you don't know which chews and treats your dog might like, knowing you aren't feeding your best fur-bud something filled with preservatives and additives is a pretty solid start.

What I loved about Pawstruck

The biggest winners were the beef jerky chews and the chicken and beef food topper.

The treats are made from natural ingredients

There is a lot to like about shopping at Pawstruck. For starters, I've always been known to stress about how healthy what I'm buying for my animals may or may not be. In the past, I feel like every time I've purchased a new product, I later found out it was actually fairly unhealthy, had a ton of additives, or didn't agree with my pup, even if the package had made it appear otherwise. So, knowing that anything I'm going to buy at Pawstruck is made from natural ingredients really simplified things.

The selection is curated

I also appreciated that there weren't endless options to scroll through, leaving me more confused about what to get for Blaze. We were able to sample just about every type of treat Pawstruck had to offer without getting overwhelmed in the way I might if I were shopping at PetSmart or Walmart.

The treats were tasty, according to Blaze

My new pup tried a bunch of different items, but the biggest winners were the beef jerky chews and the chicken and beef food topper. The food topper was especially helpful to get Blaze eating once we got her home. With her new house jitters, she was only taking a few nibbles of her food. Adding the food topper got her more interested in eating, and in a few days, she was finishing the whole bowl like a champ. That alone was a great investment.

What I didn't love about Pawstruck

The collagen sticks and dental chews didn't do it for us

The collagen sticks and dental chews didn't do it for us

Not everything I got for Blaze was a winner. She didn't have any interest in the collagen sticks or the dental chews. With that being said, all dogs have their favorite snacks, so not everything can be a hit, and now I know what she's into chewing and snacking on for future purchases.

Packaging didn't match the site

I also didn't love that the packaging didn't look exactly like what it showed on the site. The items weren't clearly marked, so I didn't really know what the items were and had to refer to the packing slip to try and figure out what was what.

What certifications does Pawstruck have?

Pawstruck has over 36,000 5-star reviews. They also guarantee purchases, meaning you can send them back and get reimbursed for any reason. They're also committed to creating less waste, so they use packaging that meets Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) or Sustainable Forestry Initiative (FSI) certification standards whenever possible.

Pawstruck is definitely worth it.

Yes!

If you're like me, and you get overwhelmed trying to find healthy treats and chews for your dog, then checking out Pawstruck is definitely worth it. Even though my dog didn't love everything we got her, knowing that I'm not feeding her anything harmful is a good feeling that made picking items easy and stress-free. For that reason, I'll definitely be buying her more of the items she loved, and maybe checking out the value packs for an even more simplified shopping experience. Shop Pawstruck
